Before the first treatment
A full client consultation is carried out before the first treatment. This consultation is offered free of charge. The information is required for your safety and to benefit your health and well-being.
While the treatments I offer are safe, there are certain conditions that may require special attention. This information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
It may be necessary for you to consult your GP before treatment can be given.
If you are receiving treatment from your GP or any other health care professional, please consult them before booking.
During the treatment
For Therapeutic Massage – Oils are used during this treatment. It is required to remove clothing for the areas of the body being worked on. There is a changing area to enable the client to remove their clothing in privacy. Underpants are always left on. Thick, fluffy, warm towels are used to cover the client during the treatment, with just the area being treated uncovered.
For Indian Head Massage – Clothes are left on. It’s best if the client wears a close-fitting T-shirt. Only necklaces and earrings need to be removed.
For Clinical Aromatherapy – As per Therapeutic Massage above. However, before commencing the treatment, appropriate essential oils are selected and blended to suit the client’s individual needs.
The client is given the opportunity to smell the oils, to ensure that they are happy with the scent of the blend, before treatment is carried out.
