Holistic Therapeutic Massage
A massage treatment that helps to ease stress and tension and associated muscular aches and pains. It involves the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes. This is a firm, deep massage, with the pressure being adjusted to suit the client’s needs and preference.
Oils such as Sweet Almond Oil and Grape Seed Oil are used during this treatment. Aromatherapy essential oils can also be used for an additional charge.
Full Body Massage
A massage treatment using oils. Areas treated include the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet, finishing with a relaxing and soothing scalp massage.
Before your treatment starts, I will leave the room, so you can remove your clothing, leaving your underwear on. If you’re wearing a bra, it would be best to remove it, so I can work properly on your back (It also prevents getting oil on your underwear). You will have a towel to cover yourself, before getting onto the massage couch. You will be covered in towels throughout the treatment, with only the area being treated exposed.
Sessions are designed to increase circulation, improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension and stimulate endorphins for a deep sense of relaxation.
These treatments are tailored to your preferred pressure – light to firm pressure for relaxation, Deep tissue for muscle stiffness, or a mix of both – It’s completely your choice. Pressure is always adapted to your comfort level, ensuring the treatment is effective without being overwhelming. We will discuss your requirements before the treatment starts.
Back, Neck, Shoulders and Scalp Massage
As above but only the back, neck and shoulders are massaged with oils. This is followed by a scalp massage without use of oils.
You will be given privacy to remove your clothing from your upper body (you will be given a towel to cover yourself). It’s up to you if you want to keep clothing on the lower half. If you want to keep your lower half dressed during the treatment, please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You are welcome to remove your trousers/ skirt, as you will be covered in towels throughout your treatment.
Legs and feet massage
A massage treatment to help improve circulation, reduce swelling and relieve sore, tired muscles. It can also help with joint mobility. It is a relaxing treatment using oils and can help lower blood pressure.
Please wear comfortable loose fitting trousers or a skirt. You can also remove your lower clothing for optimal comfort if you wish. Your legs will be covered in a towel. Only the limb being worked on will be uncovered.
Other Massage Treatments
Indian Head Massage
A fully clothed seated massage that uses firm but gentle techniques to relax and relieve the build up of tension and stress related symptoms. The treatment includes massage to the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, and scalp. These are important energy centres of the body where tension tends to accumulate, causing stiffness in the neck and shoulders which can also lead to headaches. The face is also treated with a soothing massage, using techniques to ease tension, resulting in a calm and relaxed state.
Aromatherapy Massage
A natural treatment involving the therapeutic use of essential oils to attain a physical, spiritual and mental health equilibrium. The healing power of essential oils, which have been extracted from plants, has been known in cultures for over 4000 years. Essential oils can promote a sense of wellbeing and help to relax tense and tired muscles.
After you have removed your clothing, before commencing the treatment, appropriate essential oils are selected and blended to suit your individual needs. You will be given the opportunity to smell the oil blend, to ensure that you are happy with the scent before the treatment is carried out. This is a massage using gentle, soothing pressure, however, deeper pressure can be used to suit your preference.
Face Massage
A blend of aromatherapy oils are used for the face massage.
Techniques are used to soothe and relax areas of tension in the jaw area.
Gentle circular and light pressure are used on specific facial points around the nose, eyebrows, forehead, cheekbones, temples and behind the ears to encourage drainage, reduce congestion and reduce any pain from sinus congestion.
This is a lovely relaxing treatment. Please avoid wearing makeup. Earrings/Nose rings will need to be removed if possible.
